Articles/Interviews/Reviews
1-Aquarian Magazine: Live Show Review.
...grisily and fascinating...AMOR FATI/Will to Live belong to the previously cited industrial faction, and wield axes, oil drums, metal plates and smoke along with guitars, bass, drums and AMOR FATI's over-a-cliff vocals...this was one of the band's far-and-few-between sets (they opened up for the Butthole Surfers at City Gardens not long ago).

2-Sporadic Droolings #6. Interview: The Envy of PLato: AMOR FATI.
All the most discerning critics like the output. Now read what he has to say.

3-Vision Du Monde #3: French Magazine: Interview and Article with Pictures of Band Members.

4-The Daily Collegian: University of Connecticut: Interview and Article:
...you'll hear sounds from a Samuel Beckett play set loose in a junkyard...such sonic violence and passion...hasn't been injected into music in a long time. "Destruction of A Desiring Machine: For Blanche and Tennessee Williams" overlays dialogue from Streecar Named Desire with a throbbing synthesizer that makes the song one imminent disaster. This intensity abates only on the last track, "Untimely Meditations," a lovely work full of pathos. When listening to it, you give in to a fatalistic exhaustion.

5-The Village Voice: The 1986 Pazz & Jop Critics' Poll.
AMOR FATI: Body W/O Organs LP, voted number 6 album of the year by the critics.

6- Particular Motors #10: Audio Art Magazine, Spain.
Article artworks and writings by AMOR FATI.

7-Jersey Beat: Live Review
billed with the Fall...the crowd drifted in by accident...Amaury was introducing metallic concussive/bop/rock/rap/slap/pop...players crouched. The singer hid. It was a spectacle, world class, scalp tingling. The pitiful crowd who had come out to hear Fall music, enjoyed and enjoyed. I too, was ecstatic at the sight of an unknown ensemble...the only band in history moving from oblivion to greatness with no preliminaries.

8-HHT Magazine. France. Article, pictures of band, review of LP.

Body w/o Organs LP : Reviews
1-Forced Meat Magazine. Italy.
.Instinctive, genuine mix of no-wave electricity and tribal, dark feeling, influenced by DNA, Virgin Prunes, Bauhaus

2-Duckberg Times Newspaper. USA.
a work of surpassing distintegration, this LP seethes with incidiary apprehension about power, force and the individual in contemporary society. Recorded at home with minimal equipment, the recording is a province of the densest dialectical microcosm of industrial expressionism-pounding and growingly, suspicious of the contemporary yet futurist in scope.

3-MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL MAGAZINE. USA
suffocated vocals and mutant landscape. Pretty Bizarre!

4-Ink Disease Magazine:USA
experimental minimalism... a strong balance between the experiment and the level of energy that one can only find in hardcore.

5-BUZZ Magazine; USA
reminds me of Sex Gang Children..operatic vocals with a confusion of technology over a background of drums and a driving bass.

6-Raunch-O-Rama: USA
abrasive music theatre..cheerful experimental pop and disturbing noise...reminiscent of SPK, Eno...

7-Brave Ear Magazine: USA
doesn't sound much like anything you'll hear elsewhere...Raw, searing music that doesn't fall into a predictable category.

8-Conflict Magazine: USA
spewing the most hotshit radiation-noises...

9-Option Magazine: USA
from the philosophical netherworld...Haunting, questioning, and powerful, the LP mixes primitive guitar, thunderous quasi- percussion and contorted vocals which are heavy with unspoken, subliminal feelings and ideas...conceptually more advanced (and more interesting) than many of its brethren that were recorded in large studios...

10-Matter Magazine: Steve Albinin Interview: USA
there's shit I know is gonna be tits just sitting there by the hifi unheard as of yet, like that Live Skull LP and the new Buttholes EP and the AMOR FATI LP...

11-FACTSHEET FIVE Magazine: USA
the music delivers...I'll be seeking him out for an interview...art damage...Intense.

12-Rockpool Magazine. USA
(note: this is my favorite!) this is a mindless disc...intellectual con- tricks are still con-tricks...a body of music without structure, direction or self-control...recorded with 2 cents worth of intelligence

13- Sound Choice. USA
music is harsh and unnerving...

14 SHMOCK, Germany
one of those rare efforts that really creates an atmosphere... simple and raw...

15 -The Boston Phoenix, USA
voted as one of the years ten best albums

16-UNSOUND Magazine, USA
moments of uniqueness with a very personal approach by exposing the surface and digging in to create a raw package with equally intense music.

17-The X-Radio Monthly, USA
very early Cabaret Voltaire...it is quite an experience.

18- New Wave, France
orgie electronique...

19-Nerve Magazine, Canada
uncompromising, enigmatic and possessed...a productive and insightfully human...

20-WDC Period, USA
great stuff...even puts in one of the most beautiful synth pieces I've heard...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Will to Live LP
1-Forced Exposure Magazine, Steve Albini, USA
Amaury Perez is a genius of sorts... music is dense, powerful...his insight and the music's power are both undeniable..to believe in the superman is foolish, but to be one-- that is within anyone's grasp.
2- away from the PULSEBEAT magazine, USA
this EP has the same power and tension as the live show, albeit without the physical danger...you'll just have to petition your local clubowner to book them...a delicious threat.

3-Brave Ear, Vol. 3 Issue 5, USA
a very good release it would be interesting to see this band live.

4- Factsheet Five, USA
my first reaction to the EP was how delighted I'd be to play it on college radio...the most straightforward of AMOR FATI's projects.

5- Puncture Magazine, #12, USA
a nervy, powerful edge...it's something one likes to put on.

6-Truly Needy, #10 , USA
filthy clanging sound, replete with harsh, netherwordly vocals and grinding fuzzy guitars hits the spot.

7-Beef Magazine, Vol.6 #19, USA
a good beat and intense heartfelt beliefs and concepts make this album one worth checking out.

8-Pollution Control #12, USA
Booming drums, metal percussion, screeching gtrs...

9-Ink Disease, #11, USA
resembles a "Crass" Label album, some songs sound like "Psychic T.V." and "Flux of Pink Indians"...

10- Option Magazine, USA
I played this for a friend who knows nothing and he commented that he couldn't stand it "but...but it kinda does something to you anyway." I can think of no higher compliment!

11- The Tape Player Magazine, USA
compelling...like the dialogue of a snuff film.

12-Hypertension, newspaper, USA
grating, abrasive, brilliant...if this isn't rock and roll pleasure, I don't know what is.

13-Conflict, magazine, USA
despite the fact he's stuck doing a fucking audition night at CBGB's, everybody in this house knows how gdamn heavy duty a guy Amaury Perez is...

14- Sound Choice, USA
pounding headache feedback guitar on metal screaming...experience this and realize your own potential.

15- MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL Magazine, USA
up-tempo, rocking...What a find!...Ranting poetic words...I'd love to see 'em live.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Birth of Tragedy K-7
1-Sound Choice, #8, USA
incredibly ominous pieces...the beat is driving...I play this tape in the background and demands my attention, now and then. I play it alot.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The White K-7
Note: This tape can be found as bootleg in Germany as an LP/CD.

1-Sound Choice, #9, USA
maniacal, explosive.

2-Option Magazine, M2 issue, USA
another in a long line of excellent releases from one of the more accomplished musicians...primal in tone with undercurrents of urgency and power.

3-Forced Exposure Magazine, #12, USA
AMOR FATI's finest extension yet...liked being fist-fucked by some god...One of the year's best.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rock n' Roll EP
1-Creem Metal, Magazine, USA
best of the rest is AMOR FATI, foreboding sandpaper-textured warp-speed fuzzboxdrone.

2- Option Magazine, K2, USA
kinda like Chrome or something.

3-Jersey Beat, USA
possibly one of the most repulsive cover... stark dark beauty, basement level distortion as ion garage...an abrupt contrast of violence and smashing beauty.

4-Flipside, #52, USA
one side's the "musick" and the other side is the "noise" side. This stuff comes from the left field, maybe 'out of the ballpark.'

5-MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL, Magazine, USA
an over-the-edge group with alot to say.

6-away from the PULSEBEAT, Magazine, USA
seething stuff that could actually get some airplay and develop a following.

7-Brave Ear Magazine, Vol.3, Issue 6, USA
very powerful goodies from one of the few really interesting people in America.

8-Forced Exposure Magazine, USA
devil-noise-genius doing a kinda R&R that distorts and lies and mocks as much of the sacred genre's sacred matter as it can

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Against "Nature" LP
1-BANANAFISH, Magazine, USA
the sort of thing that makes the synapses shoot sparks...

2- T.I Fanzine, USA
if you think Skinny Puppy or Bauhaus is crazy, you ain't heard shit...vocals from hell...possessed piano...pounding drums...

3- Ink Disease, #13, USA
a mad alchemist of sound. Check this one out.

4-Factsheet Five #25, USA
esoteric experimentalism and industrial disco...a strong release.

5- SLITZ Magazine, Sweden
Excellent!

6-REFLEX Magazine, USA
one of the most unusual...this album is a winner.

7- SPIN Magazine, USA
no dodging the power of this album..a profoundling unnerving experience. Up to it?
